Royal Jordanian Falcons

The Royal Jordanian Falcons (Arabic صقور الأردن الملكية ) is the official aerobatic team of the Jordanian Air Force.

The squadron was founded at the behest of the Hashemite King Hussein bin Talal on November 7, 1978. Earlier machines of the type Pitts S -2A Special and Walter Extra EA300 were used. In 2007, the older EA300 were replaced by the more modern Walter Extra 300 / L. A formation usually consists of four machines, while still a fifth aircraft is available as a reserve.

The squadron was initially stationed at the airport in Amman Marka International. Meanwhile, a move was made to Aqaba Airport in the south of the country. Although the pilots are recruited from the Jordanian Air Force, including the aircraft of the Royal Jordanian Airlines, which also handles the maintenance of the machines. The aerobatic team is regularly seen at events in Europe, North America, Asia and North Africa.
