Royal Rangers

The Royal Rangers (RR) [ rɔɪəl reɪndʒəz ] are an international youth organization of the Scout method uses and in the 50 years reached over 2.5 million children and adolescents worldwide since existence.

Royal Rangers Emblem

History

The first Royal Rangers group was 1962 in Springfield (Missouri ), United States, founded by John Henry Barnes in a congregation of the Assemblies of God. He wanted to create on the basis of the Scout method, a program for youth work in the Pentecostal movement. In the same year was in Warren (Ohio ), another outpost ( Outpost 2). Already in 1966 the first groups outside the U.S. ( Australia and Latin America) were founded.

Germany

In 1980, John Henry Barnes, the parish of Richard Width in Bremen. After a pilot program of Royal Rangers there was started. In 1981 the first German outpost was founded in Bremen by Richard width. The first National Training Camp (NTC ) on German soil was at Castle Naumburg in Frankfurt am Main with the participation of John Barnes, Fred Deaver and Dr. Jerry Shepert (all from the USA) organized in the same year. Switzerland

Austria

Structures

Since the Royal Rangers are organized into an independent international umbrella organization, the membership of the General Association or national federation in the World Organization of the Scout Movement or the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is excluded by their statutes.
