The plural Majestatis is the name of one's own person in the plural as an expression of power. Background choice of the majority is that the monarch or other authorities always speak for their subjects or subordinates and takes place simultaneously highlighting the own person.

He was formerly with nobles and dignitaries ( "We, Benedictus PP. XVI in the first year of Our Pontificate ... " ) are common on official occasions. The plural Majestatis is always capitalized.
