Rubén González (footballer)

Rubén González Adán, full name Rubén González Adán Acosta ( born July 17, 1939 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Playing career

Association

Defensive player González belonged from 1957 to 1963 the cadres of montevideanischen club Nacional in La Liga on. 1964 Boca Juniors recorded both a station at Velez Sarsfield and dei. For the latter club, he was also active in the following year. In 1966 he returned to Nacional. In the days of his club belonging to the Bolsos won this in 1957, 1963 and 1966 national champion. In 1965 he was Argentine champion with Boca Juniors.

National

González was also a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, where he graduated in 1962 eleven matches between 2 May 1959, and August 15. An international goal he did not achieve it. By Celeste he took in 1959 at the second playout the South American Championship in December of that year in Ecuador in part, in which he contributed in four games to win the title of the Uruguayans. Also at the 1962 World Cup, he was involved in Uruguayan side. There, however, he came in none of the three group games used.
