Rubén Pulido

Rubén Martín Pulido (born 2 February 1979 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player. Since the summer of 2012, the central defender at Aris Thessaloniki in the Greek Super League is under contract.

Playing career

The beginnings

Rubén Pulido started his career as a football player in his hometown in the C- team of Real Madrid, in whose youth he played. He then went to the Spanish third division UB Conquense, where he played in the 2000/2001 season. There he became a regular player and went after only one year to the second division relegated FC Getafe. There he was able to prevail and reached the Madrid suburb Club direct resurgence.

Professional football

But Pulido was not in Getafe, but went to the second division side Sporting Gijon. For the first time Asturieren he could play regularly in the Segunda División. In summer 2003, the defender went to the Premiership relegation Rayo Vallecano, as he ausrechente greater chances of the Premier League with this club. The season was disastrous, however, and ended with the descent into the low ranks for Rayo.

Return to Getafe

In summer 2004, Pulido went back to Getafe, who had now risen for the first time in club history in Liga 1. There he came in first Primera - year only eight missions in the second year there were then at least 25 and Pulido was able to achieve his first two Premiership goals. The greatest success of it was reaching the Cup final with FC Getafe, but which with 0:1 vs. the favored FC Sevilla lost.

The last years

Since he had his place permanently lost and due to the strong competition Pulido joined in the summer of 2007 for newly promoted first division UD Almería. There he was able to fight back a regular place. A year later he moved to Real Zaragoza, which was relegated to the Segunda División straight. After chances of promotion, he secured with his team in the 2009/10 season in the league. He then moved to the Greek first division club Asteras Tripolis. After second seasons, he moved on to league rivals Aris Thessaloniki.
