Geographical location

Rowing mountain lies on the western edge of the forest in Welzheimer Wieslauftal in 270-536 meters altitude between Schorndorf and Backnang. The municipality has a share in the natural areas Schurwaldstrasse and Welzheimer Forest, the Swabian- Franconian Forest and the Neckar basin.

History

The first mention of rudder mountain in a document by Pope Innocent IV dates from 1245th
