Rudolph Koenig

Rudolph Koenig ( * November 26, 1832 in Königsberg, † October 2, 1901 in Paris ) was a German professional.

Life

Koenig visited 1840-1851 the Kneiphöfische Stadtgymansium in his hometown, was the end of 1851 to Paris, where he went to the famous manufacturer of stringed instruments Jean Baptiste Vuillaume in teaching and soon developed a special fondness for the acoustics. So he built in 1858 a workshop for the construction of acoustic equipment. He started with devices for teaching and won on several exhibitions medals.

Working

Had scientific value of his work on the application of the graphical method to the acoustics, to which he was a constructed by him Phonautograph help.
