Rumen Trifonov

Rumen Trifonov (born 21 February 1985) is a Bulgarian football player. He plays for Lokomotiv Sofia in A Grupa, the highest Bulgarian division.

Career

Trifonov began his career at CSKA Sofia, where he was brought into the first team in 2004. He then moved to Chernomorets Burgas - Balgaria, the predecessor of FC Chernomorets Burgas club. In the season 2006/ 07 he completed a league game for Vihren Sandanski. From 2007 to 2009 he was active in Minjor Pernik, where he rose in the season 2007 /08 with the team in the highest Bulgarian division. In the first season in the A Grupa Minjor was eleventh. After another fall season at Minjor he returned to CSKA Sofia in the spring of 2010 and was runner-up. After the 2012/13 season and leaving the UEFA Europa League his contract with CSKA Sofia was dissolved.

At the beginning of the 2012/13 season Trifonov moved to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast to FC Chernomorets Burgas.
