Rump (animal)

The croup is a localization in mammals, which is located in the transition zone between lumbar, sacral and caudal vertebrae. In the topographic anatomy of this area is called gluteal regions or in animals croup. Their shape is particularly in horses and dogs of importance as they can be a crucial feature for the usability of the animal ( for example, in horses, see Exterior: croup ) or in dogs is a feature of each breed of dog that prescribed in the standards (see Domestic Dog: anatomy).
