Rúnar Rúnarsson

Rúnar Rúnarsson ( * 1977 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic film director and screenwriter.

Rúnar grew up near Reykjavík and made ​​his first film in 1995, together with Klosettmenning Grimur Hákonarson. The short film is composed of five episodes that were all shot with a camera setting. He was accepted as a contribution to the film festival Nordisk Panorama. This motivated Rúnar to shoot more films. Five years later, he still turned with Hákonarson the short film Oiko logos. In the same year he produced, this time alone, film episodes of 12 minutes called Rætur. Of 2002, at that time living in Denmark end competed unsuccessfully at Den Danske Filmskole.
