Runic Games

Runic Games is a US-based development studio from Seattle and arose from the development team at Flagship Studios. The Company, the brothers Max and Erich Schaefer, who are known for Diablo, Travis Baldree include ( Fate development ) and Matt Uelmen, who cares about the music in Torchlight. 2009 was published as the first game action RPG Torchlight, Torchlight II, the sequel followed in September 2012.

History

The company was founded in August 2008 by Travis Baldree, Max Schaefer, Erich Schaefer and Peter Hu. After the dissolution of the Games Studios Flagship Studios alternated every 14 employees working in the Seattle team that was involved in the development of the game myth to Runic Games.

After about eleven-month development phase of the game Torchlight from November 2008, the game was released on 27 October 2009 as a digital download. Following the development team began work on an MMORPG Torchlight, which was postponed in favor of Torchlight II indefinitely. The current status of the project is unclear.

In May 2010, the Chinese software publisher Perfect World acquired for 8.4 million U.S. dollars, a majority stake in Runic Games.
