Ruslana Korshunova

Ruslana Korshunova Sergeyevna (russisch Руслана Коршунова, English spelling Ruslana Korshunova Sergeyevna, . Born July 2, 1987 in Alma- Ata, USSR, † June 28, 2008 in New York City ) was a Kazakh (ethnic Russian ) photo model.

Career

Korshunova was discovered in November 2003 by a booker model agency Models 1, which struck her face in a magazine article about her hometown. She was modeling for, among others, Donna Karan, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Paul Smith, and Vera Wang. She appeared on the cover of Polish and Russian edition of Vogue and French Elle magazine. Recently she was in the agency IMG Models under contract.

Four days before her 21st birthday, chose Korshunova committed suicide when she jumped nine stories in the depth from the balcony of her apartment in Manhattan.
