Russ Roberts

Russell Roberts ( born 1953 ) is an American economist. He is a professor of economics at George Mason University in Fairfax (Virginia) and researcher at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Prior to his professorship at George Mason University Roberts worked at Washington University in St. Louis and was the first director of the Center for Experiential Learning at the John M. Olin School of Business. Roberts also taught at the University of Rochester, Stanford University, and UCLA.

Roberts is the author of several novels with economic topics. His 1993 published novel The Choice was described by BusinessWeek and the Financial Times among the best books of the year. Roberts interviewed as part of the weekly podcast EconTalk economists on a variety of topics.
