The Admiral Kornilov was an armored deck cruiser or protected cruiser of the Imperial Russian Navy.

The cruiser was in 1886, set in Saint- Nazaire, France at Kiel, launched on April 9, 1887 and put into service in 1888.

With 112,16 m long, 14.8 m wide and 7.8 m Draft repressed the ship when empty and fully equipped 5,863 4,950 ts ts.

In the 1950s, a cruiser Sverdlov class was planned with the same name and sent to Kiel. The completion but has been aborted, the ship was because the construction progressed too far, used as an accommodation ship.
