Rustaveli–Vazisubani Line

The Rustaveli Wazisubani line ( Georgian: რუსთაველი - ვაზისუბანი - ხაზი ), unofficially also Sakartwelos - samchedro - gsa - Moskowske Prospect - line, is a since the 1980s standing in construction metro line of the Metro Tbilisi.

Course

The line will start at the Georgian Military Highway. At the station Didube a transition to Achmetelis - Theatres - Warketeli line is to be built. Then there should be a branch to the east and enter the station Teknikuri Uniwersiteti. Then the line is to run through the neighborhood to wake Rustaveli station. Then the Rustaveli Wazisubani - line runs over Kvemo and Zemo Elijah after Elijah Wazisubani to Moskovsky Prospekt.

History

The plans for this line began already in the 1970s. Construction began at the end of the 1980s. A part of the tunnel has been completed, as well as part of the station Saarbriukenis Moedani. Since the independence of Georgia and the poor financial condition the site was temporarily abandoned. According to some sources, in part, the tunnel will be filled up with water.
