Rut Arnfjörð Jónsdóttir

Rut Arnfjörð Jónsdóttir ( born July 21, 1990 in Reykjavík ) is an Icelandic handball player.

Rut Arnfjörð played beginning at Icelandic HK, with whom she played in the highest Icelandic league. The backcourt player moved in 2008 to the Danish club team Tvis Holstebro who rose recently in the highest Danish league. With TTH 2011 she moved into the final of the EHF Cup, failed there but the FC Midtjylland Håndbold. Two years later, Ruth Arnfjörð Jónsdóttir was again in the EHF Cup final, which they could win with TTH.

Rut Jónsdóttir Arnfjörð has played 68 international matches for Iceland. With their national team, she qualified in 2010 for the first time for the European Championships. She also previously took part with the Icelandic Junior Women 's National Team at the World Championship 2008 in Macedonia, occupied the 13th place in Iceland.
