Ruth Malcomson

Ruth Malcomson (* 1906 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, † 1988, ibid ) was in 1924 the fourth Miss America.

At the age of 17 she won in 1923 as an amateur, the Bather 's Revue and was voted Miss Philadelphia little later. In 1924, she appeared in Atlantic City against 84 competitors inside for the title of Miss America, which they also won, taking also the reigning titleholder, Mary Campbell, suggested that had begun again. For elections in the following year, she no longer went to.

A few years later she married Carl Schaubel and continued to live in Philadelphia. Her niece was in 1956 elected as Miss Philadelphia and her great- niece of 1981 Miss Delaware.
