Ruth Weyher

Ruth Ellen Weyher ( born May 28, 1901 in Neumark / West Prussia, † January 27, 1983 in Munich) was a German silent film actress.

Life

The daughter of the Upper Justice Inspector Paul Ferdinand Weyher and his wife Letitia Theone born Schulze grew up in Gdansk, until she moved to Halle with her ​​parents and brother in 1914. At age 16, she came to Berlin and visited from April 1919 to July 1920, the Acting School of the Deutsches Theater.

In Munich Ruth Weyher received her first stage commitment. In 1919 she got her first film role. In numerous entertainment films she played adventurous or devotional women. Occasionally, she received starring roles as the title role in 1926 film version of the operetta The chaste Susanne.

In 1928 she founded her own film production company, Ruth Weyher - Film GmbH. After a single film, What's up with Nanette with her in the title role, she presented her work as a producer. On July 2, 1932, she married the Munich publisher and print shop owner Dr. Hans Geiselberger and ended her career.
