Ryan Anderson (basketball)

Ryan Anderson (born 6 May 1988 in Sacramento, California) is an American professional basketball player who is currently with the New Orleans Hornets under contract. The 2.08 m wide power forward runs on the shirt number 33. Anderson is an unusually good shooter from three-point distance, especially for a player of his position and body size.

Career

From 2006 to 2008 Anderson was for the college team of the University of California, Berkeley, the California Golden Bears, active. In his second year there, he was top scorer of the Pacific -10 Conference, qualified with his team but not for the NCAA Tournament.

In NBA Draft 2008 Anderson was selected in 21 out of the New Jersey Nets, where he played one year.
