Ryan Delahoussaye

Ryan Delahoussaye ( born January 14, 1976 in Houston County / Texas ) is an American musician and plays with Blue October, which he founded together with frontman Justin Furstenfeld 1995. He plays several instruments and is also backing vocalist of the band.

Life

Delahoussaye was born in Houston in 1976 and later co-founder Justin Furstenfeld got to the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts know. They have since become inseparable friends.

Career

Before Delahoussaye with Furstenfeld founded the group Blue October, he played at Harvey and Bayou Roux. He became known but only with Blue October, which he previously participated actively in all publications.

Instruments

Delahoussaye is a multi- instrumentalist who plays violin, mandolin, viola, electric violin, keyboards and tambourine is able to play. Delahoussayes with its pizzicato strings is has cultivated an integral part in the musical style of the band. Furstenfeld said about Delahoussayes dealing with his instruments that he does not use his instruments as any other else, but his string instruments plays more like an extra guitar, which is the Blue in Blue October. He also said that the melody does not appear moody without him.
