Rychnovek

Rychnovek ( German Reichenhof ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers east of Jaroměř and belongs to Okres Náchod.

Geography

Rychnovek is located between the rivers of Upa and Metuje in East Bohemia. To the east rises the Zvolský vrch (298 m), southeast of the Prásilka (276 m). The village is crossed by the railway Jaroměř - Trutnov and the road between Nove Mesto nad Metují and Jaroměř.

Neighboring towns are Dolany in the north, Zvole in the northeast, Volovka and Velka Jesenice in the east, Vinice, Šestajovice and Jasenná to the southeast, and Stary Ples Kopeček in the south, Josefov and Jaroměř the southwest, Jakubské Předměstí in the west and Čáslavky in the northwest.

History

Rychnovek was first documented in 1497. Significantly older the district Zvole, which can be detected since 1283. Since 1404 Doubravice writing verifiable.

1780 began southwest of Rychnovek in the area of the village Ples the construction of the fortress city Ples, which received the name Josefstadt 1793. After the abolition of patrimonial Rychnovek / Reichenhof formed in 1850 a municipality in the district Dvůr Králové nad Labem. The construction of the railway from Josefstadt Schwadowitz after the village received in 1859 a railway connection. Since the end of the 19th century, the city name is written as Rychnovek. After the Second World War the town was reclassified to Okres Jaroměř. In 1955, in Rychnovek the construction of a military area. The Okres Jaroměř was dissolved on January 1, 1961 and the village came to Okres Náchod. In the same context, the incorporation of Zvole and Doubravice was.
