Ryszard Czarnecki

Ryszard Czarnecki, actually Richard Henry Czarnecki ( born January 25, 1963 in London) is a Polish politician.

Biography

After graduating from high school in 1981 in Warsaw, he studied at the Faculty of the Wrocław University of Humanities. Since 2009, he is married to Emilia Hermaszewska, the daughter of the space traveler Mirosław Hermaszewski.

Professional

He was the archivist of the Archives New files ( Archiwum Akt nowych ) in Warsaw (1986) and the Archives of the Solidarność (1987); Journalist at "The Polish Daily", London (1988-1990); editorial secretary of " Glos " (1990-1991); deputy editor of " WiadomoĹ Dnia " (1991);. editor of " Dziennik Dolnośląski " (1991), Acting Director of " NORTH POLE -PRESS " (1991) In addition, he was chief of the editorial staff of the Polish TV station Polsat Religious Programs (1993-1997 ) and lecturer (2001-2004).

Parliamentarian

Representatives of the Sejm to NATO, he was from 1991 to 1993, Member of the Committee for European Integration in the Sejm, Chairman of the Committee for Liaison with Poles Abroad from 1999 to 2001, Vice Chairman of the Committee of European Law from 2000 to 2001, representatives of the Sejm in of the WEU Parliamentary Assembly 1991-2001.

He has held the following government offices: Deputy Minister of Culture ( 1993); Minister for European Integration (1997-1999); Head of the Committee for European Integration (1997-1998); Minister and Council of Ministers (1998-1999 ).

Czarnecki was a member of several political groupings.
