Rzeszów–Khmelnytskyi powerline

The 750 kV line Rzeszów -Khmelnytskyi is the only 750 - kV line in Poland and one of the few high-voltage lines in the European Union, which is operated at this voltage. It was built in the 1980s, put into operation in 1985 and leads from the transformer station Widełka ( north- west of Rzeszow at 50 ° 11 ' 49 "N, 21 ° 52' 19" O50.19694444444421.871944444444 ) for Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant in Ukraine. The 750 kV line Rzeszów -Khmelnytskyi with a length of 395 km has a single circuit and configured as a conductor bundle conductors. The rated current per wire rope is 1500 A, and it can be a total power of 1300 MVA is transmitted.

As supporting masts rope anchored portal masts are used. Another unusual feature is the design of the tension towers. They consist of a free-standing pole for each phase, the insulators are attached directly to the mast. The current loop consisting of a conductor wire, that is wrapped around the mast via an insulator, which is fixed to a cross-arm or the auxiliary boom.
