Rzyszczewo, Białogard County

Listen Rzyszczewo? / I ( Ristow German ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It belongs to the rural community Białogard ( Belgard ) in the powiat Białogardzki.

Geographical location

Rzyszczewo located ten kilometers south of Białogard on the left Parsęta shore at province road No. 163 of Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg ) to Wałcz ( German crown). Nearest railway station is Białogard on the remote route Berlin - Szczecin-Gdańsk. A very relaxing area and refreshing bathing experience offers the nearby lake, formerly called " Ristower lake ".

History

Rzyszczewo is an old Germanic settlement and was inhabited 3000 years ago. The 1928 and 1930 discovered over the years in stone cists urns are proof of this documented the place is first mentioned in the 14th century - as a fief of the family of Wolde. In subsequent years, change the owner with the names of Bonin, of verses and von Kleist.

In 1864, Ristow had 150 inhabitants. Owner of the manor was Wilhelm Krüger. It was released in 1889 for settlement purposes and populated with 15 farmers.

In 1939 lived in Ristow 167 citizens, 148 of them in agriculture and forestry, and 12 were active in the craft.

Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Belgard ( Persante ) and formed with Boissin, Naffin and Zarnefanz the District Zarnefanz. Civil ceremony was Ristow, as the whole office Zarnefanz, facing Lenzen. Responsible District Court area was Belgard.

The last incumbent before 1945 were Mayor Richard Borg Hardt, Chief Administrator and Registrar Franz Wilhelm Conrad Brunn. The police services were at Oberland hunters Daske in Boissin.

On March 8, 1945 Ristow was occupied without fighting by Soviet troops. However, a woman and seventeen men, including Mayor Borg Hardt, were shot by the soldiers. The German population was evacuated to Vietzow. Ristow came to Poland and today as Rzyszczewo for rural community Białogard.

Church

Ristow belonged until 1945 to the parish Boissin and with this and the neighboring communities Zarnefanz and Lenzen to the parish church in Lenzen Belgard, who belonged to the church of the Evangelical Church of Pomerania Old Prussian Union.

Today Rzyszczewo is within the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church.

School

Already in 1792 Ristow had its own school. For a long time, however, had the Ristower children after Boissin to class until it was moved back to his own school in 1903. 1914 Ristow got a new, large school building.
