S.C. Damash

Damash Gilan Football Club (Persian باشگاه فوتبال پگاه گیلان ) is an Iranian football club based in Rasht.

History

1983, the club was founded under the name Esteghlal ( Shardari ) Rasht. Only in the 2000/ 01 season the club managed to move up to the highest Iranian league ( Iranian Pro League) and finished at the end of this season, the tenth place in the table. In the following season should be the obligation of the experienced coach Nasser Hejazi, goalkeeper of Iran national team at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, held the class and the course for a successful future are provided. However, it turned out differently than expected and the club rose at the end of the season 2001 /02 after a bitter defeat against Abu Moslem Mashhad ( 7:1 ) from. Only a short time after the descent in the Azadegan League disbanded the club. On 5 August 2002 bought the Pegah Dairy Co. on the club and changed the name to Pegah Gilan Football Club.

In the 2007 /08 season Pegah Gilan rose again in the Iranian Pro League and finished at the end of the fifteenth place in the table. The club managed except the relegation and the entry into the Cup final, with the final in return game ( 1-0) and ( 0-3 ) against Esteghlal Tehran was lost.

The club came in spite of the class conservation and the final feeder financially in big trouble, which is why the start of the Iranian Pro League in the summer of 2008 was at risk. Early October, then bought Amir Abedini, the owner of the mineral water company Damash Iranian, Pegah Gilan FC 's license and founded on 11 October 2008 club Damash Gilan Football Club. However, at the end of the 2008/09 season the club got back from last but one in the Azadegan League. In the 2009/10 season, the club missed the direct re-emergence as one lost in second place in the play-off against Sanat Naft Abadan. In summer 2011, the club then but could befeiern the rise first.
