S.P.O.C.K
SPOCK (short for Star Pilot on Channel K, formerly Space Pioneers Orbiting Ceti K ) is a synthpop band from Sweden. Many songs of the band sci-fi, especially Star Trek theme. The band has existed since the 1999 album SPOCK: 1999 of founding member and singer Alexander Hofman well as the two keyboardists Johan Malmgren and Christer Hermodsson. Well-known songs are, for example, Never Trust a Klingon, Astro Girl and Alien Attack.
Band History
1988 Eddie Bengtsson wrote several songs he played together with Alexander Hofman as a singer at a birthday party of Finn Albertsson. The three young men called the band Mr. Spock, named after a native of the Star Trek universe Spock. After the birthday party, the group played at a number of other house parties and made it as soon obtain professional engagements.
When Paramount Pictures in 1989 demanded a compensation payment for the use of the name of Mr. Spock, called the group into Space Pioneers Orbiting Ceti K, SPOCK abbreviated to. The commercial success of the band began when she released her first single Silicon Dreams at the Swedish record label Accelerating Blue Fish 1990. On stage, the group members appeared as sci-fi -like people, Eddie Bengtsson as " Captain Eddie B. Kirk ," Alexander Hofman as "Android " and Finn Albertsson as " Boh ".
With the release of the album SPOCK: 1999 is the abbreviation of the band Names for Star Pilots On Channel K.
