The Sabha Airport (Arabic مطار سبها الدولي, English: Sabha Airport ) is the civil and military use airport of Sabha in Libya.

Location

The airport is located southeast of Sabha. The airport is on the road to the south.

Airfield characteristics

The Tower ( TWR ) sends and receives on the frequency: 119.1 MHz. The airport has several navigation aids. The non-directional beacon ( NDB ) transmits on the frequency: 283 kHz with code SEB. The omnidirectional radio range (VOR) transmits on frequency: 114.7 MHz with code SEB. A distance measuring equipment (DME ) is available. The local magnetic declination is 1 ° East / West. (As of 2006)

According to ASN two incidents at the airport are known.

  • On 13 June 1985 burned down a government machine from Benin. There were no occupants killed.
