Sabine Appelmans

Sabine Appelmans ( born April 22, 1972 in Aalst ) is a former Belgian tennis player.

Career

Sabine Appelmans won in her career seven tennis tournaments in singles, including two each of the tournaments in Linz and Pattaya. In addition, they also won four double tournaments.

She participated in three Olympic Games in singles. The best performance she succeeded at the Olympics in Barcelona in 1992, when she was defeated in the quarter- finals of the top-seeded Steffi Graf. In doubles, she joined the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and reached the second round.

From 1989 to 1999 Sabine Appelmans played for Belgium in the Federation Cup. Your personal balance sheet is at 25:13 victories in singles and 7:9 in a double.

1990 and 1991 Appelmans was voted Belgium's Sportswoman of the Year.
