Sabine John
Sabine John (born Mobius, divorced Paetz; born October 16, 1957 in chub ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympian, which was successful for the GDR in the heptathlon.
Life
You set 1978 a DDR record in the pentathlon on. 1982 John won the heptathlon behind her teammate Ramona Neubert and before Sabine Everts ( Federal Republic of Germany ) at the European Championships in Athens, the silver medal. At the World Championships a year later she had in Rome again only beaten by Ramona Neubert and also won silver. In 1984, John set a new world record in the heptathlon on. Participation in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles it remained denied by the boycott of the GDR.
