Sabine Röther

Sabine Rother - Kirschke, born Röther ( born June 17, 1957 in Rostock) is a former German handball player.

The 1.87 meter tall and 80 kilogram Sabine Rother played for SC Empor Rostock.

With the GDR selection they won at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow bronze. In 1978, she was with this team world champion; at the World Cup 1982 she was in the squad of the GDR. In 1979 she was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

In 132 international games she threw 441 goals.
