Sadanoyama Shinmatsu

Sadanoyama Shinmatsu (Japanese佐田の山 晋松, own Shinmatsu Ichikawa (市 川 晋 松), born February 18, 1938 at Shinkamigoto today in Nagasaki Prefecture ) is a former Japanese sumo wrestler. He was the 50th Yokozuna, and later Chairman of the Japanese Sumōverbands.

Sadanoyama was a fighter of the renowned wrestler Stalls Dewanoumi - Beya. In 1956 he appeared for the first time as a wrestler and took in 1961 in his first Makuuchi tournament. In May of that year he already successfully fought a tournament victory in March 1962 another, so that he was promoted after a relatively short time in the top division in the rank of ozeki, he led the seventeen tournaments long. In the first half of 1965 brought him 39 fights won three tournaments in two Yusho (tournament wins) and the appointment of the yokozuna.
