The saddle - Teppichhai ( Cirrhoscyllium japonicum) is a real one shark from the family of the collar carpet sharks. He lives on the southern and eastern Pacific coasts of the Japanese islands of Kyushu and Shikoku.

Features

The species is very elongate and slender and reaches a length of 48 cm. She wears nine clearly lifted saddles on their backs, which give you the names and their front two dig up a semi-circle on the sides. On her neck she wears barbels.

Way of life

The saddle - Teppichhai lives on the Pacific continental shelf off southern Japan at depths 250-290 m. Little is known about his diet. He is oviparous and harmless to humans.
