Sadik Kaceli

Sadik Kaceli ( born March 24, 1914 in Tirana, † 2000 ) was an Albanian painter. He studied in Paris as a student of Henri Matisse.

Kaceli studied at the Académie des Beaux -Arts in Paris. Albania appointed him as the painter of the people, he is since 2000 an honorary citizen of Tirana. He designed the first series of Albanian Leks and the coat of arms of the People's Socialist Republic of Albania.
