Sadko (film)

Sadkos Adventure ( also Beckoning lucky and Sadko, the tramp ) is a Soviet fairy tale film by Alexander Ptuschko from the year 1953. It is based on motives of the popular Russian legend of Sadko, among other things, also Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov, a tone poem and opera devoted.

Action

The poor Guslispieler and singer Sadko arrives in the high and mighty city of Novgorod. After he is the beautiful girl Ljubawa met, became his lover, he goes to the market and sees the suffering of the poor, which he promises to seek happiness, which is to float high in the air as a bird in a distant land. Later he turns into an inn, where the merchants of the city pour their wealth. He asks her to give him some money so he could build ships to sail with them to the world and to an increasing number of his and their property can. Even the city itself, it would bring fame and fortune bird he would seek. However, they reject his proposal, and he oppressed leaves the inn and in the lonely night on the shores of Lake Ilmen plays a tune. On November 26, 1958, the film was released under the title Sadkos adventure in the cinemas of the Federal Republic of Germany.
