Sadong-guyok

Sadong - guyŏk is one of the 18 districts of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea. The outer city district located on the south bank of the Taedong - gang and the Nam - gang and east of the districts Taedonggang - guyŏk, Tongdaewon - guyŏk and Songyo - guyŏk. Sadong in 1959 incorporated as a municipality to Pyongyang.

The district is particularly used industrially and agriculturally.

Buildings and Facilities

In Sadong are two railway stations for the transport of raw materials extracted from mines and the Mirim Airport for State use. Economic significance of the residents here Taedonggang Brewery.

In the district Hyum -dong is the wooden bridge in the Goguryeo era, the national treasure of North Korea number 166

Natural Monuments

The Chinese Jujube in the district Tŏkdong -ri are listed under the natural monuments of North Korea with the order number 9.

Administrative divisions

Sadong - guyŏk is divided into 14 administrative units divided Dongs. The districts Songhwa -dong -dong and Tulu are in turn subdivided into two, the district Songsin -dong into three administrative units.
