Saek people
The Saek ( Thai แสก ) are an ethnic group in Central Laos and Northeast Thailand and form part of the Tai peoples.

Language
The language of Saek is also called Saek and is part of the Kam - Tai languages of the larger Tai - Kadai language family. Many Saek speak the Lao or Thai language.
Culture
The cultural practices are similar to those of the larger Tai ethnic group or were absorbed by the larger ethnic groups, between which they settle. A special feature of Saek is nowadays still their preference for round dances.
Religion
Most Saek cling to their traditional beliefs, including ancestor worship belongs. A smaller group belongs to the Theravada Buddhism. Sacrificed is often spirits to ward off diseases. Ghosts represent the forces of nature. Each village has Saek the next guardian spirits that are to keep the community from evil forces.
