Safe area (television)

When filming doing a search camera at the normal film camera is mounted so that it is the cut to see who can also be seen at the time in the film camera. The image of the " viewfinder " is thereby displayed on a separate monitor or TV, the desired safe areas and aspect ratios later on with a safe area generator appears.

Generated framework

There will always be the framework for " 5% action safe " and 10% " Title Safe " is displayed.

" 5% Safe Action "

This in contrast to the overall image smaller by 5% range ensures that all actions of the plot within these remain visible.

" 10% Title Safe"

This in contrast to the overall image smaller by 10% range ensures that all titles and text displays of action within these remain visible.

Other aspect ratios

It can be set whether the display device is a 4:3 - or 16:9 screen is whether is rotated in widescreen and the other widescreen aspect ratios to be displayed, or if you turn on the TV in 4:3 and from the source you subsequently wish to cut a 16:9 aspect ratio and would like to see this also as another Safe Area.

Application reasons

On one hand, you can immediately spot checking whether important information is in the picture and especially the subsequent cropping of the image to smaller aspect ratios. The other reason stems from the type of tube televisions, because the image area is in many older devices covered by small stop at the edge. The last image lines to not be displayed, and thus no actions or title disappear behind this, which occurs especially during fast camera pans, were introduced this subframe.
