Saga (Saga)

Saga (Japanese佐贺 市, - shi) is the Präfekturalverwaltung and largest city of the prefecture on the island of Kyushu Saga, Japan.

Geography

Saga is located on the southern main island of Kyushu, southwest of the port city of Fukuoka.

History

The level of Saga has been inhabited since ancient times. End of the 16th century a castle was built as the seat of the sovereign Nabeshima to that developed a castle town. The modern city was founded on April 1, 1889 and is grown by successive incorporation of adjacent villages to its present size.

Culture and Tourism

Saga is also well known for hot air balloons. Every year in July there is the Saga International Balloon Fiesta. 2005, around 15 million people have visited this international festival, participate in the balloonists from around the world.
