Sagda epistylioides

The Sagdidae are a family of snails from the subordination of terrestrial snails ( gastropod ). It is the only family of the superfamily Sagdoidea Pilsbry, 1894. The nearly 80 species are geographically limited, with few exceptions to the Caribbean Islands.

Features

The housings are flattened - conical, spherical to highly flattened and lenticular. Some forms have housings with very thin skins and the tendency toward reduction of the housing.
