Saina Nehwal (born 17 March 1990 in Dhindar, Haryana ) is an Indian Badminton player.

Career

Saina Nehwal won 2003 Gutta the junior title in women's doubles with Aparna Balan in India. In 2007, she won at the Philippine Open in women's singles, and she had become specialized. In 2008 she was successful in the Chinese Taipei Open and the Indian National Championships and finished fifth at the Olympics. She also won the discipline Dameineinzel at the 2008 in Pune staged in India 's Under-19 World Cup. In 2009 she won at the Indonesia Open and 2010 she won bronze at the Asian Championships. In 2010 she won also at the Commonwealth Games. In 2012 she won the bronze medal at the Olympics.

In 2010, she was honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna.
