Saint-Christ-Briost

Saint-Christ - Briost ( Picard: Saint- Cri - Briou ) is a commune with 473 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region of northern France. The municipality is part of the Canton of Nesle and is part of the Communauté de communes du Pays Neslois.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the D45 road department north of Autoroute A29 east of the Somme and the Canal de la Somme ( district of Saint-Christ ) and west of the Somme ( district Briost ). Even the Somme inflow Omignon which opens slightly below at Brie, flows through the village. The no longer operated passenger railway line from Saint- Just-en -Chaussée to Douai via Chaulnes and Peronne touches the northern edge of Briost.
