Saint-Égrève
Saint- Égrève is a commune with 16,047 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Isère, in the Rhône -Alpes; it belongs to the administrative district of Grenoble and is the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Saint- Égrève.
Geography
The municipality is located north- west of Grenoble, at the foot of the Chartreuse massif. The western boundary of the parish is formed by the Isère river, empties into the here of the Drac. North-east from Saint- Égrève are Quaix -en- Chartreuse and Proveysieux. In the southeast of Saint -Martin- le- Vinoux and Grenoble. Sassenage located in the southwest Noyarey in the west and Fontanil -Cornillon in the northwest of Saint- Égrève. Part of the municipality is located in the Regional Natural Park of Chartreuse (French: Parc naturel régional de Chartreuse ).
