Saint Lu

Saint Lu ( * June 27, 1984 in Wels, actually Luise Gruber ) is an Austrian rock singer and songwriter.

Life

Gruber went to high school for one and a half years as an Au Pair to Austin, Texas, and lived after half a year in New York City. Then returned to Austria, where she attended drama school and participated in the ORF talent show Star Mania, but was eliminated early.

Since 2007 she has lived in Berlin, where she was put under contract by Warner Music. In 2009 she participated in the Reeperbahn Festival and the New Pop Festival in part. In early November of the same year she released her first single Do not Miss Your Own Life from her debut album Saint Lu, which, of Echo winners Patrik Majer, composed by Peter Weihe, Marlon Browden, Christian Lohr, Jean -Jacques Kravetz, and Steve Sidwell in Berlin Munich, Hamburg and London was produced. Parts of the debut album were recorded at Abbey Road Studios.

In 2011 she was awarded with the European Border Breakers Award ( EBBA ).

Saint Lu took the title Craving part in the German preliminary decision in 2013 to Euro Vision Song Contest in Hanover, finishing in 4th place.

Reception

Saint Lu was praised by critics as " album, which up to any international comparison " and Saint Lu called because of their voice as an "Alpine - Anastacia ".
