Equipment

The organ dates back to an instrument that had been built in 1662 for the Franciscan church at " Knuedler ", and in the wake of the dissolution of the monastery fell into the St. Michael's Church in 1805. This instrument was the end of the 19th century and rebuilt in the 20th century. In 1959, the instrument was declared a " monument historique ". In 1969, the (still existing ) historical pipe material was removed as useless, and the organ builder " Manufacture d' orgues luxembourgeoise " ( Lintgen ) built a new organ in the organ case. The abrasive loading instrument has 26 registers on three manual and pedal works. The play and Registertrakturen are mechanical.
