Saint Sarkis Cathedral, Tehran

The Saint Sarkis Cathedral or St - Serkis Cathedral ( Armenian Սուրբ Սարգիս մայր տաճար, Persian کلیسای سرکیس مقدس ) is an Armenian Apostolic Church in the Iranian capital Tehran.

History

The construction of the St. Sarkis Church in Tehran began in 1964 under the tolerant to minorities Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and was completed in 1970. The church was built by the Sarkissian brothers in memory of their deceased parents.
