Salaheddine Bahaaeddin

Salaheddine Muhammad Bahaaeddin (* 1950 in Halabja ) is an Iraqi politician of Kurdish origin.

The Sunni Muslim politician was a member of the temporary Iraqi Governing Council, which was made ​​after the Iraq war in 2003 by the United States in Iraq.

Bahaaeddin was born in the Iraqi town of Halabja, about 1970, he joined the Muslim Brotherhood. He wrote several books in Kurdish and Arabic. In 1991 he founded in the north of Iraq, the Kurdistan Islamic Union, of which he is first elected General Secretary and Chairman since 1994.
