Salevere is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Hanila ( Hanila vald ) in Lääne in Estonia.
Colonization
The village has 28 inhabitants ( 31 December 2011).
In Salevere Archaeologists have demonstrated a fortified settlement and worship from the first millennium BC.
Nature
South of the Matsalu Bay is the forty -acre nature reserve Salevere Salumägi. It is a natural habitat for numerous species of snakes.
It is characterized by up to fifteen meters cliff of limestone. It is partly covered with natural Klintwald. The sea- facing steep limestone wall of the survey is probably almost 6,000 years old. From the wall of the cliff is the source Silmaallikas ( "Eye source " ), which should be previously been a place of sacrifice. Especially with walkers and cyclists, the well-marked trails with terrain is popular.
