The Teeblättrige willow ( Salix phylicifolia ) is a plant of the genus willow ( Salix).

Description

The Teeblättrige willow is a shrub, the plant height can reach up to 4 meters. The bark of young branches is initially weakly hairy, but later glabrous and shiny yellowish to brown in color.

The stalked leaves are roundish, elliptical to ovate or reverse- egg-shaped. The petioles are up to about 12 millimeters long. The full leaves or slightly serrated leaf blade is 2 to 8 inches long and 1.3 to 5 centimeters wide. The lower leaf surface is green to blue-green, the upper surface shiny green, slightly hairy at first but later glabrous. Stipules are rare and if present small.

The highly branched, kurzästigen kittens appear just before flowering ( anthesis ) in May They are usually 2 to 3.5 inches long. The kittens shed are two-colored, at the head of dark brown to blackish, lighter at the base. The flowers bear two stamens. The anthers are yellow or slightly reddish, the stamens glabrous and non- grow.

Dissemination

This type is found in the Arctic region and in the polar zones analog Alpine mountain stage in Europe and in the Mediterranean area, the Near East and Western Siberia.
