Salomo N’tuve

Solomon N'tuve (born 20 November 1988) is a Swedish boxer. He was Vice-European Champion 2008 flyweight.

Career

Solomon N'tuve is the son of African immigrants to Sweden. Together with his brother Jahova N'tuve he began in 2004 when boxing club BC Angered in Gothenburg with the boxes. His coach was or is there Tommy Andersson. Although he did not begin until the age of 15 with the boxes, before he played football, he soon became one of the best Swedish junior boxers. Already in 2005 he won the Swedish Junior runner-up in the paper weight ( - 48 kg ).

In 2006, he finished in the Swedish Junior Championships Flyweight ( - 51 kg ) after a semi-final defeat against Clarence Goyeram the 3rd place and in 2007 he succeeded then Swedish junior flyweight champion with a win over Arber Sejdiu to be. In the same year he also became Swedish champion in the senior flyweight with a new victory over Arber Sejdiu. He repeated in both 2008 and 2011 this success.

In 2006, the international career of Solomon N'tuve began. He finished this year at the Nordic Junior Championships in Tønsberg / Norway flyweight 2nd place after one defeat in the final against Dennis Ceylon from Denmark, who also European Junior Champion in the same year.

In 2007 he took the " Tammer " tournament in Tampere and for the first time in an international men's tournament and finished there flyweight with a win over Paul Butler from England and a defeat against Walid Cherif of Tunisia 3rd place.

2008 N'tuve won international tournaments in Gävle and in Tampere and also took part in the second European Olympic excretion in Athens. There, however, he lost his first fight against equal Conor Ahearn from Ireland and thus missed the Olympic qualifying for Beijing.

In November 2008, he competed at the European Championships in Liverpool flyweight. He had been greatly improved and won there over Conor Ahearn, Bato - Munku Wankejew from Belarus and Alexander RiSCAN from Moldova and was thus in the final battle against Georgi Tschigajew from Ukraine. This experienced boxers he lost while on points, but came on the 2nd place, and thus became European vice-champion.

In 2009, he participated in several international tournaments. He could not win any of them, but scoring some notable individual results. So for example, when he defeated " Strandjata " tournament in Plovdiv Cuban bronze medalist of Beijing 2008 Yampier Hernandez on points and in a country fighting in Kalmar he came to a point victory over Andrew Selby of Wales. The Swedish champion bantamweight title in 2009 he could not defend, because he lost the final against Niklas Helgesson on points.

Later in the year N'tuve participated in the World Championships, but already retired in the first fight against the Portuguese Pedro Matos from (8:1).

2010 came N'tuve the final of the Nordic Meisterschafte, had to be in this but the Finn Petteri Froejdholm admit defeat ( 5:12 ). At the European Championships in the same year he reached the quarterfinals and was eliminated in this against Georgi Tschigajew, Russia from. In the following year N'tuve once again took part in the European Championships, but lost in the first fight against Stefan Ivanov from Bulgaria. Also at the 2011 World Championships in Baku, he was still at the semi-final addition.

His goal, to participate in the 2012 Olympic Games in London was so receded into the distance. To put it yet to reach he participated in the European Olympic Qualification Tournament in Trabzon and arrived after victories against Pedro Matos, Portugal ( 12:7 ) and Olexandr Shepelyuk, Ukraine ( 14:9 ) the semi-finals, which he against the eventual winner of the tournament Nordine Oubaali, France almost lost ( 10:11 ). With this third place, he qualified for the Olympic tournament.
