Salve Regina University
The Salve Regina University is a private Catholic university in Newport, Rhode Iceland (USA).
History
The institution was founded in 1934 by the Order of the Sisters of Mercy as a college. Since 1947, the campus is located at its present location on the Atlantic coast. Since 1973, women are also included, in 1991, the college became a university.
For students of the also located in Newport Naval War College, there is the possibility at the Salve Regina University to earn a Masters in International Relations.

Art treasures
In a staircase of the University are the two wings of a colorful and child window that was originally produced in the mid-15th century for the Carmelite church of Boppard. It is now called Pyrmont window, which was derived from its founder Cuno of Pyrmont and of Ehrenberg.
